News / Lifeboat called out to escort trawler
LERWICK lifeboat was called out on Saturday afternoon to escort a Banff registered fishing vessel with four crew on board into harbour.
The Sunlight Ray was about 20 nautical miles northeast of Lerwick when the skipper alerted Shetland Coastguard at just before 1pm.
The vessel experienced electrical problems and was unable to navigate in thick fog.
Both lifeboat and the Sunlight Ray arrived safely at Lerwick harbour at 3.30pm.
