News / Assault accused released on bail

TWENTY one year old Lerwick man charged with assaulting another man to his serious injury, permanent impairment and the danger of life has been released on bail.

Liam Scott Cromwell was fully committed to trial when appearing in private from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court, on Tuesday.

Cromwell was arrested ten days ago following a serious assault in Lerwick’s town centre, which left a man critically ill in hospital.
