News / Ideal Homes Show

MORE than 30 businesses will be showcasing everything from recycled furniture to building materials at this year’s Ideal Homes exhibition, next month.

Several new local businesses, including Aa Fired Up, Eco Living, Elise Jay Handpainted Furniture and GTS Direct will be exhibiting for the first time.

Organisers of the biennial show, the Shetland Rotary Club, said on Monday that preparations were well in hand.

A spokeswoman said the weekend event was the club’s biggest income source for its charities fund.

“For visitors to the show it provides the opportunity to see what’s new and available locally for the home,” she added.

The show starts at 5pm on Friday 13 September and runs over the weekend at Clickimin Leisure Centre, in Lerwick, until 5pm on the Sunday.

Entrance fee is £4 for adults; accompanied children under 14 go free.

Further details can be found on the club’s website at: www.rotaryclubofshetland.org.uk
