News / Cash stolen from purse

POLICE are making enquiries after “a large quantity of money” was stolen from a purse left in a trolley near the cash point at the Tesco car park, in Lerwick.

The theft occurred between 10.30am and 4pm on Sunday.

Police said the purse was found again but the cash was missing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lerwick police station on 101.
