News / Shetland claim Milne Cup

SHETLAND’S county football squad has beaten Orkney to take the Milne Cup with a convincing 4-1 victory.

The Shetland team came from 1-0 behind in the first half to score four in the second, including a Leighton Flaws penalty.

Meanwhile the women’s hockey is to take place on Sunday at 11am at Brae after the Orkney team’s Friday flight was cancelled and there was no room on the Saturday flight, so they caught the Saturday night ferry.
