News / School girl airlifted
A SECONDARY one pupil from Lerwick’s Anderson High School was airlifted from South Nesting on Thursday afternoon after twisting her ankle during an outdoor educational trip.
She was taken by the coastguard search and rescue helicopter to the Clickimin landing site, in Lerwick, and transferred to the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
Shetland Coastguard was alerted to the incident at just after 2pm.
