COUNTRY music legend Kris Kristofferson is playing a concert in Lerwick at the end of September, it has just been announced.

Tickets, priced at £30, will go on sale on Friday morning 10am at www.shetlandboxoffice.org andwww.ticketmaster.co.uk

Supported by Scottish singer/songwriter Roddy Hart, the Lerwick gig at the Clickimin Leisure Complex will be one of only two Kristofferson dates in Scotland.

Kristofferson, now aged 76, will play a solo acoustic concert. He has released his latest album, ‘Feeling Mortal’ in January this year.

The concert is locally promoted by Davie Gardner of Atlantic Edge Music Services.

He said: “I am absolutely delighted that at long last we have managed to book Kris Kristofferson; we have had many demands to do so.

“It is terrific to have a living legend to play in Shetland on 30 September.”
