News / i’i shetland on display
LOCAL lifestyle magazine i’i Shetland has been selected by the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) to be a part of the 100 Years of Scottish Magazine Publishing exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland.
The exhibition will feature around 70 magazines across 12 display boards. Each board will feature front cover images and information on four to six magazines from each decade, including a pre-1910 board and a post-2010 board.
i’i shetland will be included in the post-2010 display, along with other magazines that have begun production within the past few years.
The magazine’ editor Malcolm Younger said: “i’i shetland being selected is an excellent mantel and reflects the hard work and dedication that goes into producing the popular magazine by the team at Millgaet Media.
“Not only does it promote the magazine but also Shetland in a positive light by showing life in the islands, what we enjoy and what we love about them.”
The exhibition will first be on display as of May at the national library, in Edinburgh. The exhibition will then tour several universities and libraries over the next two years.
