News / Hefty fine for two offences
A LERWICK man was fined £750 for two separate offences at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Martin MacDonald of 4 Ladies Drive pled guilty to having been involved in a fight with another man at Lerwick’s Market Cross on the morning of 30 August.
The 39 year old had previously admitted obstructing police officers carrying out adrug search on him when he swallowed an item, on 25 January last year.
Sheriff Philip Mann said the drugs offence was “serious” while describing the assault as “stupid behavior”.
