Letters / Consideration for residents
While I am all for improvements in the town centre, I find it quite annoying that all these so called improvements are being carried out with no consultation with local residents (Lerwick market plans, SN, 9 May 13)
I for one do not want to have bands playing right outside my window and would not in any way see that as an improvement, in fact quite the opposite.
I would therefore urge Living Lerwick to have some consideration for residents as well as shop keepers when making your plans.
After all we are trying to help in our own way keep the centre of town going by buying and renovating property. We are also the people who often help with the security side of things after shopkeepers go home at night; so it’s a shame that we are now being cut out of town centre plans.
