Letters / Where are the new tugs?
I would like to congratulate John Bateson on his iconic photograph (http://www.shetnews.co.uk/photos/april-2013); it does indeed look like a fine art painting.
However that, along with the fact that the Maritime Clipping Service to which I subscribe has photographs and details every day of new-build tugs all over the world, all of whom enter service, some in fact secure a contract on the delivery voyage, thus defraying delivery costs – prompts the questions; where are the new Shetland tugs, and what is happening to them?
Sincerely,
Bill Hall
