News / Dangerous driving
AN oil industry worker who admitted deliberately driving his car at a group of people in Shetland’s north mainland at the weekend appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.
Jamie Floyd, whose address was given as care of the Sella Ness accommodation block housing workers building the Shetland gas plant for Total, was arrested on Saturday night after police were called to the scene.
Floyd was not charged with drink driving, but he did admit that he drove his car at the group near Mossbank on Saturday night.
Honorary sheriff Arnold Duncan released the 22 year old on bail and deferred sentence until next month for reports.
