Margaret Thatcher was “Britain’s greatest peacetime prime minister”? (Britain’s defining leader; SN 9/4/13).

No, Mr Mullay. She was undoubtedly the worst.

She made a minority of Britain’s elite happy and rich, while making the majority of people miserable and worse off than they had ever been.

To put it quite bluntly, she was a f****** bastard! Britain is well rid of her.
