News / Man remanded on assault charge

A LERWICK man was remanded in custody after appearing in private on Monday at Lerwick Sheriff Court on charges of assault and attempted robbery.

Fifty-four your old John Millarkie made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination.

He is expected to reappear before the court next week.
