Craig Johnson’s letter, calling for big cuts in other people’s jobs, raises an interesting point. (Surplus workforce, SN, 31 January 13)
Why is it people who write public-spirited appeals of this kind never call for their own jobs to be ‘slashed’?
It is puzzling.
