SHETLAND Football Association is holding three public meetings across the mainland to gather ideas about the game’s future in the isles.
The meetings in Brae, Scalloway and Sandwick follow a wide consultation to draw up a vision for the game.
SFA President Eric Graham said the main issue of concern was the structure and asked if there was a need to look at a new model for the game locally.
Other issues raisied during the consultation include participation, club and coach development and facilities.
“We will look to build up a plan which can be launched if not before, then for the 2014 season,” Graham said.
The SFA said they would like to see as many as possible turn out for the meetings to get a wide range of views from everyone, including players, referees, parent and supporters.
The meetings are at:
Brae High School secondary staff room on Tuesday 12 February;
Scalloway Youth Centre on Tuesday 19 February; and
Sandwick Junior High School on Wednesday 27 February.
All the meetings run from 7 to 9pm.
