A POLISH man who has been living in Shetland for the past few years was remanded in custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday after he appeared in private charged with a serious assault.
Marcin Olejniczak, of no fixed abode, made no plea or declaration and was committed for further investigation before being refused bail.
The 32 year old is expected to reappear in private in a week’s time.
