News / Locked up again
A PERSISTENT offender has been locked up after he denied punching and kicking another man and brandishing a bottle in Lerwick on Wednesday.
Adam Nelson, of 24 Leaside, Mossbank, appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday morning where he pled not guilty to three charges of assault, possessing an offensive weapon and breaching the peace.
The 23 year old is accused of punching and kicking a man in the head to his injury at a house in Lerwick’s Harbour Street, as well as shouting, swearing and brandishing a bottle while challenging people to fight with him.
Bail was refused and Nelson was remanded in custody pending his trial on 20 February.
