News / Three cars off road
AT LEAST three cars left the road as a result of Tuesday morning’s frosty conditions, police reported.
No one was injured in a two vehicle collision at the Black Gaet junction south of Lerwick at 8.48am.
No driver was found in a car found in a ditch on the main A970 at Girlsta when police approached the vehicle at 8.08am.
Meanwhile Shetland coastguard’s rescue helicopter Oscar Charlie was called out at 9.50am to airlift a crewman off the Danish fishing boat Andrea Klitbo that was working 70 miles east of Shetland.
The man was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick where is receiving medical attention.
