A YOUNG man living in Aberdeen appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with serious assault.
Nineteen year old Thomas William Hall made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
Meanwhile three Glaswegian men charged last week with drug offences after police seized suspected heroin with an estimated street value of £140,000 appeared for the second time in private.
Jabran Ali, aged 24, Allan Richard Stewart, aged 33 and 30 year old William James Richardson were arrested on New Year’s Eve.
On Thursday they made no plea or declaration and were fully committed for trial before being remanded in custody.
