A SCOTSMAN was charged with driving while just over twice the legal alcohol limit when he appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.

Mario Pohlmann, aged 37, of 28 King Edward Street, Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, was arrested after being stopped behind the wheel in the Tesco car park in Lerwick on Sunday.

The case was continued without plea until 24 January until when Pohlmann is banned from driving.
