News / Three held over heroin haul

THREE Glasgow men have been remanded in custody after being charged on drug charges after police in Shetland seized suspected heroin with an estimated street value of around £140,000.

Jabran Ali, aged 24, Allan Richard Stewart, aged 33 and 30 year old William James Richardson appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday after being arrested on New Year’s Eve.

All three made no plea or declaration and will reappear in court on 10 January.
