News / Latest NorthLink update
AFTER days of cancellations ferry services between Shetland and Aberdeen are set to be resumed again over the next 24 hours.
NorthLink has just announced that their northbound sailing is scheduled to leave Aberdeen at some time between 8pm and midnight on Sunday, depending on wind and wave conditions.
The Hjaltland will load and close up as per normal scheduled departure time, the company said. The vessel will not call at Kirkwall.
Meanwhile, the southbound sailing of the Hrossey from Lerwick to Aberdeen has been further delayed and is now expected to leave Shetland at 7am on Monday morning.
A further update will be made later on Sunday.
The sailing of the cargo vessel Hildasay from Lerwick to Aberdeen has also be delayed. The vessel is now expected to depart Lerwick at 4am on Monday.
The Helliar meanwhile will try to berth at Kirkwall later on Sunday and, if successful, depart for Lerwick at some time on Monday.
