Letters / Study was ‘ditched’
I feel obliged to write to object to Dr Wills’ use of language regarding Viking Energy’s health impact study (Not ditched; SN 16/11/12).
No Dr Wills, Andrew did not make that up. Viking Energy (not the charitable trust) did ‘ditch’ their health impact analysis from the planning application to the Scottish government.
The charitable trust are now mopping up after the horse has bolted.
This study should have been carried out by all the parties in Viking Energy and formed part of the submission that should have informed the Scottish government’s decision. But that would have been inconvenient wouldn’t it?
I would like to know who is paying for this study.
Are SSE and Viking Wind Ltd contributing to the costs of this study?
What action will be taken if the study finds there is a health risk?
Will the other parties abide by the findings?
Judging by their attitude to the compensation fund I am not holding my breath.
