News / Dealing cocaine
A WOMAN from Shetland has been told to expect to go to jail after she admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Sarah Gibson, who now lives at 22 Sandholm Place, Yoker, Glasgow, pled guilty to supplying the Class A drug at her former home at 10 Aestbrek, Sandwick, on 26 January this year.
Sheriff Philip Mann said that he did not know the value of the drugs seized, but unless there were “exceptional circumstances” the 23 year old should expect a custodial sentence when she returns to court next month.
Also on Wednesday the court heard that a jury has been cited for a trial later this month when 25 year old Paul Grant, of 57 Burgh Road, Lerwick, will plead not guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Grant is charged with dealing the drug between 4 November last year and 25 February this year at Freefield, in Lerwick, and elsewhere in Shetland.
