Letters / Clean it up
Would it be possible for the individuals responsible for the unsightly “welcome” sign of an upturned car leaning against the wreck of an old building that is falling to pieces, at the split junction to Park Road and the Hjaltland housing estate in Sandwick, please clean it up?
There are old tyres etc that are part of this junk that have been lying around for years.
This area is the worst example of a car dumping ground off a main road junction, which also blocks drivers’ vision when meeting other vehicles.
Were this to happen in Lerwick then it would have been dealt with by the council’s environmental health department, but it must also must affect the value of the Hjaltland homes when people divert their eyes while driving past.
