A YOUNG Mossbank man was sent to jail for more almost seven months after pleading guilty to a string of offences committed in Brae, at the weekend.
Appearing from custody before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday, John Hutchison, of 53 Leaside, pled guilty to a total of four charges, all committed in the early hours of Sunday.
The 22 year old admitted wilfully and recklessly destroying a beer pump in the Brae Hotel as well as resisting arrest and struggling violently with police officers on a footpath near the hockey pitches in the north mainland village.
He also pled guilty to behaving in a threatening manner and attempting to pervert to course of justice by running away from police officers.
After hearing that Hutchison had been released from a previous one year prison sentence after having served half his time, he sentenced him to four months in jail plus a further 80 days still left from the earlier term.
