Happy Mondays plan a second Shetland gig due to public demand.

LEGENDARY Manchester rockers Happy Mondays are to treat their Shetland fans to an extra concert at Mareel after 600 £50 tickets for the 15 December concert sold out in three days.

Tickets for the second show the following night went on sale at 9am on Saturday from Shetland Box Office, though they have not been shifting so fast and by noon on Monday only nine had been sold.

Promoters Klub Revolution said they were delighted with the response to the initial show Happy Mondays backing singer and former X Factor finalist Rowetta Satchel said she could not wait to come to Shetland with the band, according to promoters Klub Revolution.

Local folk/rock act The Revellers have been confirmed as support for the Sunday show, which will be open to all over the age of 16.

Support and DJs for the sold out Saturday show will be announced in the next few days.
