News / Frankie’s shortlisted
FRANKIE’S Fish and Chips, in Shetland, is one of five Scottish chippies shortlisted for the regional Independent Takeaway of the Year.
The Brae eatery can now expect to be visited secretly by judges from the seafood authority Seafish who are organising the awards.
The other four Scottish entries are: The Bay Fish & Chips of Stonehaven, The Chip Box of Stewarton, Land & Sea Fish and Chip Shop of Polmont, and Enzo’s Fish and Chips of Ayr.
In October, Seafish will announce one winner from the shortlisted top five shops in Scotland. Thereafter, that winning regional shop will compete for the overall UK title, announced in January 2013.
