News / Forfar man faces rape charge

A SCOTTISH man has appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court charged with rape.

Twenty one year old Liam Polden, from Forfar, appeared from custody on Tuesday where he made no plea or declaration.

Sheriff Philip Mann committed him for further examination and released him on bail.
