News / Fire call-out to holiday cottage
FIRE fighters from three Shetland stations were called out to a fire in the Nort Neuk holiday cottage in Hoswick, on Wednesday afternoon.
Described by Fire Control as an “electric fire”, the blaze was quickly brought under control through the use of two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
The holiday makers staying in the cottage were out at the time of the incident.
The building sustained some smoke damage, and a downstairs window was broken.
Appliances from Sumburgh, Sandwick and Lerwick were called out to the fire at a quarter to two.
