News / More turbines proposed
SHETLAND’S westside could see a large wind farm being developed should plans by a Gloucestershire-based company come to fruition.
Inazin has confirmed that they are looking to build a wind farm at the Dale of Walls with up to 26 turbines.
A spokesman for the company said that they were keen to involve the local community in the development.
Any investment into new wind farm sites depends on whether an interconnector cable linking Shetland with the national grid is being built.
