News / Bixter accident
A 29-YEAR old woman remains in a satisfactory condition in the Gilbert Bain Hospital following a one vehicle accident near Bixter, on Saturday evening.
Fire crews had to cut the woman free from her Citroen car. No other vehicle was involved.
Meanwhile, two youths were airlifted from the Clickimin Loch in the early hours of Sunday.
The two 16 year olds had gone out in a rubber dinghy which sunk. They made it to a tiny island in the loch where they had to wait for several hours to be rescued, because the coastguard helicopter had been diverted to airlift a sick child from Unst to hospital, in Lerwick.
