News / Gunshot in Nesting house
A SHETLAND man pled guilty to recklessly discharging a rifle into the ceiling of his living room when he appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.
Alan John Reid, aged 44, fired a single shot in his home at Bayview, Skellister, South Nesting, on Sunday.
Reid’s not guilty plea to storing ammunition in an insecure place against the conditions of his firearms licence was accepted.
Sheriff Philip Mann deferred sentence for reports and released Reid on bail with the condition that he is not in possession of a weapon.
