POLICE in Shetland are anxious to trace the driver of a black car who may have witnessed a red Kia Sportage driving dangerously on the A970 south of the Vidlin junction.

The driver of a lorry had to take evasive action to avoid a collision when the Kia, heading south, overtook in the face of an oncoming vehicle at around 12.30 on Wednesday.

Police can be contacted at the Lerwick station on 01595 741 100.
