News / Mann is new sheriff
SHERIFF Philip Mann has been named as the new permanent sheriff to serve in the northern isles.
Sheriff Mann has regularly presided over Lerwick and Kirkwall Sheriff Courts over the past few years as temporary sheriff and has filled the role since the January departure of Sheriff Graeme Napier.
Sheriff Mann used to work as a solicitor for the firm Stephen & Robb, which has offices in Keith and Dufftown.
His official installation will take place in Kirkwall on 2 July and one week later on 9 July in Lerwick.
