News / Spurs win Highland Fuels cup

LERWICK Spurs football club were celebrating last night (Wednesday) after winning Shetland’s main pre-season football prize.

The team beat rival Whalsay 3 – 2 on their own turf to lift the Highland Fuels cup.

The game was at two each after goals from Whalsay’s Ian Simpson and Stuart Shearer and Spurs’ Jordan Webb and Josie Kay before he got his second and the game’s winner with a 35 yard strike in the second half.
