News / Scam warning
POLICE have again issued a warning to people not to hand over any personal financial details over the phone.
The warning comes after reports of a bogus finance company calling people in the highlands and islands requesting the last numbers of visa/debit cards along with other personal details to make a substantial refund payment.
A Northern Constabulary spokesman said: “These individuals can be very convincing and if anyone has any doubts, contact your bank and/or police with the details of the call.”
