News / Drug dealer remanded in custody
SENTENCE has been deferred until 18 April on a Shetland woman who played a major part in a “sophisticated” drugs operation.
Trudy Thomson appeared from custody before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Friday and admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin at Virkie, in May and June last year.
Thomson also pled guilty to a charge of failing to appear at a previous court date, last Wednesday.
The court heard how the 28 year old with previous address at Gilbertson Road, Lerwick, was involved in receiving packages with heroin that were sent to her mother’s house from where she picked them up for a dealer.
Thomson was remanded in custody for a social inquiry report to be compiled.
