News / Taqa take more
NEW kid on the block Taqa Bratani is expanding its interest in North Sea oil, acquiring 50 per cent interests in three licences in the Darwin acreage 80 miles north east of Shetland.
The licences are located next to Taqa’s North Cormorant and Pelican fields, which the company bought off Shell in 2008. They feed into Sullom Voe oil terminal through the Brent pipeline.
Taqa, also known as the Abu Dhabi national Energy Company, has bought into the licences for an undisclosed cash sum to oil company Fairfield.
