News / Fiery Sessions & Stand Up Helly Aa

SHETLAND Arts has laid on two events at the Garrison Theatre to entertain the crowds on Up-Helly Aa day, the 31 January.

Local musicians, including Kaela Jamieson & John Hutchison, Maggie Adamson & Brian Nicholson, Vair and Hansel will host the popular annual Up Helly Aa day concert Fiery Sessions, starting at 2pm.

Following the procession and burning of the galley, comedians Chris Forbes and Gary Little, alongside compere Sandy Nelson, will take the stage at the Garrison starting at 9pm.
