News / More changes to ferry sailings
FERRY operator NorthLink has moved forward today’s (Thursday) sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen by two hours due to the forecast of the severe weather overnight.
The Hjaltland will now depart at 5pm rather than 7pm. Passenger and car check-in opens at 3pm.
NorthLink also confirmed that Thursday night’s scheduled northbound journey of the Hrossey will only go as far as Kirkwall where she will be berthed overnight before returning to Aberdeen on Friday leaving at 11.45pm.
The sailings of the freight vessel Hildasay from Lerwick to Aberdeen, and that of the Helliar form Aberdeen to Lerwick have been cancelled.
Saturday’s ferry sailings are under review. Further info at www.northlinkferries.co.uk
