LERWICK man Arthur Spence has been appointed to replace Lindsay Boswell as manager of Sullom Voe Terminal from January.
Mr Spence, who has worked for BP for 30 years, will join Sullom Voe from BP Azerbaijan where he is currently export systems manager.
His career in the oil industry began at the terminal where he held various operations, technical and commercial roles.
Over the years he has worked for BP in operations roles in Aberdeen, Houston, London and the Caspian region.
He will move back to Shetland with his wife Joanne, and two of their daughters and grandchildren.
