Correction

This was a mistake and should have read that police found more than 100 grammes of amphetamine worth more than £1,000.
We apologise for the error and any distress this may have caused.

CAP talks begin
TALKS on reforming Europe’s Common Agricultural Policy began in Luxembourg on Thursday.
Rural affairs and environment secretary Richard Lochhead, who is representing Scotland, said the battle lines had been drawn on the first day, but there was a long road ahead.
He said he was pleased food production was recognised as a priority, but stressed the importance of flexibility and simplification of rules.
“In Scotland, we desperately want to see greater simplification but not at the expense of some vital measures such as achieving a definition of activity to help decide which businesses should receive public support,” he said.
