News / Aberdeen man appears on drugs charges
A FORTY-FOUR year old man appeared in private from custody before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday charged with being involved in the supply of drugs.
Karl Ross Mortimer, from Aberdeen, made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
Mortimer was arrested on Tuesday at the Holmsgarth ferry terminal, in Lerwick, when police seized heroin with a street value of more than £5,000.
Police said the seizure was the result of “determined action from the police to act on information provided by the public”.
