News / One barred from Tesco, one from his home
A LERWICK man who refused to leave the local Tesco supermarket and swore at staff has been banned from the shop.
Appearing from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday, Scott Henry, of 21 Arheim, admitted swearing, and pled guilty to a charge of threatening and abusive behaviour at the superstore two days earlier.
However the 24 year old denied he had struggled with officers when they came to his door on Wednesday to arrest him.
A trial has been set for 8 September, and Henry was released on bail on condition he stays away from Tesco’s premises, including the car park.
Meanwhile a man who assaulted his wife at his Burra home has been forced to find somewhere new to live.
Stuart Robertson also appeared from custody to admit repeatedly striking the woman on the head and body at Highbury Hus, Bridge End on Wednesday.
The 59 year old was on bail at the time after having previously been charged with shouting and swearing at the same address on 27 May, an offence he repeated on Wednesday.
Pleading guilty to all the charges, Robertson was released on bail to 12 Sandside, Mossbank on condition he stays away from his home in Burra. Sentence was deferred until 6 July for a social work report.
