News / Vandals target Brae
POLICE in Shetland are calling for help from people in Brae after the local school, the north mainland leisure centre and some businesses were targeted by vandals over night.
Pupils arrived for school on Thursday to find some of the building’s windows smashed while others were spray painted with obscenities partly targeted at individual teachers.
Council staff were busy all day cleaning the buildings and carrying out repairs.
A spokesman for the council’s school service said police had been to the school to investigate.
