News / Plane turned back
A FLYBE plane bound for Shetland with 25 passengers on board had to turn around in mid air after an equipment failure.
Monday’s 3pm Aberdeen to Sumburgh flight turned back after around 25 minutes due to a malfunctioning de-icer onboard.
The plane touched down safely at Aberdeen airport at around 4pm and all passengers were transferred on to a different plane, which departed at 5pm.
