News / Tregenza cancels
CHILDREN’S author Sharon Tregenza, whose award-winning book Tarantula Tide is set in Shetland, has been forced to cancel her appearance at the islands’ book festival Wordplay due to a family bereavement.
Tregenza was due to appear on Saturday with fellow children’s author Janis Mackay and on her own on Sunday to talk about her Shetland book and its sequel Scorpion Sky.
Mackay has stepped into the breach to run a session on the influence of traditional story telling own her work.
Anyone with tickets for either of Tregenza’s events can claim a full refund from Shetland Box Office on 01595 745555 or have their tickets replaced by ones of the same value at any other Wordplay event, subject to availability.
