News / Couple on drugs charges
A husband and wife appeared in private from custody before Lerwick Sheriff Court on Friday facing charges under the misuse of drugs act.
Forth seven year old Ibrahim Hassan and 34 year old Laura Hassan, both of 65 Gilbertson Road, in Lerwick, made no plea or declaration and were committed for further examination.
Mr Hassan was released on bail while his wife was remanded in custody. She is expected to re-appear before the court next week.
Both were arrested on Wednesday evening following police raids on two houses in Lerwick in which officers seized heroin and amphetamine.
